We all know that winter dries out your skin, but what about winter hair issues like frizz and dullness? We already covered my skincare saviours for when the temp drops, but now let me shed some light on haircare to help you tame those tresses!

That being said, my hair has been in need of a little extra TLC lately. In case you’re new here, my hair was platinum for a long time, meaning I dosed my head in bleach every couple weeks. Not only did it dry out my hair, but it also did a number on my scalp. So while I’m not a haircare expert, there’s a couple really hydrating haircare products I use on the daily to bring the life back to my hair.

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Butter Rich Shampoo: Okay, I’m obsessed with this line of Garnier products, and no, I’m not being paid to say that. I use this shampoo almost every time I wash my hair because it makes my hair so silky and hydrated and smooth and I’m just obsessed!

Lush Fairly Traded Honey Shampoo: Honey is an amazing softening agent, so using this shampoo can basically guarantee you’ll have soft hair. The amount of honey in here also makes your hair super shiny and smooth, and it’s completely natural!

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Butter Rich Conditioner: As I mentioned, I’m obsessed with this line. The conditioner leaves my hair so silky and instantly gets rid of any tangles. I guess it must be the triple nutrition protein thing they advertise, but whatever it is, it’s goooood.

Jason Smoothing Sea Kelp Conditioner: Sea kelp, and any kind of seaweed, is another really great softening agent. So this all natural conditioner by Jason leaves your hair frizz-free and super smooth, which is ideal for static and hat head from winter.

Hair Treatments

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Butter Rich Leave-In Treatment: The third part of the line-up, and possibly my favourite! I use a little quarter-sized amount of this treatment in wet hair and my hair automatically feels healthier and more hydrated. Sometimes I even use this in dry hair on my ends if it’s feeling extra dry.

Lush H’Suan Wen Hua Hair Mask: Despite having a hard time to pronounce, this is the most hydrating thing I have ever put in my hair. The blend of ingredients in this mask gave the appearance of fixing all the damage in my hair from bleaching, and made it feel so soft. It also smells like chai, which is always a plus!

Infusium23 Repair + Renew Leave-In Treatment: I almost forgot to add this and had a mild freak-out when I saw it in my bathroom. I’ve talked about it on IG Stories before, so it may sound familiar. This is a leave-in treatment in the form of a spray, filled with argan oil and keratin. It claims to reduce split ends and tame fly-aways, and repair 2 years of damage in 2 minutes. The kicker is that it actually does all those things. When I was transitioning from bleach blonde to brunette, I used this everyday before styling my hair and I’m pretty sure it saved my hair from dying. Dramatic, but true. This product is amazing.

Styling Products

Kevin Murphy Easy Rider Anti Frizz Flexible Hold Cream: I picked this up when I was interning at The Kit, and have been slowly going through it since. A little goes a long way with this guy. It works so well to smooth down any frizz and fly-aways, and even helps create waves in my hair when I leave it on overnight. Worth a splurge!

Wella EIMI Perfect Me Beauty Balm Lotion: This is another one of my Kit goodies. I love using this when blowdrying my hair, because not only does it add shine and moisture, it also protects from heat styling. Usually I put one or two pumps through wet hair and then style from there.

I hope these products help to fix any of your haircare woes this winter! Let me know how you like them in the comments xo.
