This past week I went up to my parent’s place in Washago to hang out with my mom for a couple days. The weather was ridiculously mild for January, so we went exploring in Orillia one afternoon and I decided to break out the new booties I got for Christmas.
Orillia’s “downtown” (one or two busy streets – makes me giggle as a Torontonian) is actually quite charming and photogenic. We stopped in a couple shops – they have everything ranging from cute cafes to the local pub, and everything from lingerie shops to head shops (likely impacted by the recent influx of university students).
I couldn’t believe how comfy my new booties really were. We spent the afternoon walking around and sat only for lunch, and I didn’t have any aches or pains until we got home – and even that was very minor.
Hat: Forever 21 (no longer on their site, similar here)
Coat: Vintage Jil Sander
Top: Thrifted, from Three Fates
When I opened these up on Christmas I immediately fell in love with their shine and zipper down the front. I’m really loving the patent leather trend we’re going through, and considering how comfortable these booties are for a tall heel, they will definitely be a go-to for Spring.
